Bishop Lamp
Code: 2510003Product detailed description
All-glass lamp made of milk matte three-layer opal glass in the shape of a chess bishop, designed in the early 1970s by artist Ivan Jakeš for the Osvětlovací sklo state-owned enterprise in Valašské Meziříčí. His designs are characterized by simplicity and clean lines. The chess piece lamps are among his best-known designs; they were produced in many vibrant colors and exported abroad. Thanks to its soft, diffused light, this lamp creates a very pleasant atmosphere, and more than just an ordinary table lamp, it is an original lighting decoration. A popular prop in film interiors, this lamp is a sure bet, whether chess is your passion or not. The lamp is functional, in very good original condition, and lights up with a single E14 bulb. Minor scuffs are visible in the photos.
