Koželka and Kropáček Coffee Table ATYP
Code: 2602007Product detailed description
Coffee table designed in 1944 by Antonín Kropáček and Karel Koželka for České umělecké dílny. The table was subsequently plentifully produced by the state-owned enterprise Interiér Praha. An armchair was also designed to complement the table, and the entire collection was awarded a silver medal at the Milan Triennale two years later. This piece represents a more rare variant, which has a larger diameter than the more common version.
The table is made of solid wood; the ring encircling the glass top was crafted from oak using a bending technique and finished with oak veneer. The wood is stained a rich brown shade with a glossy finish. It has two round shelves connected by four elegantly curved legs. The larger top shelf is fitted with thick glass, while the smaller bottom shelf is made entirely of wood. The table is in excellent condition after a complete renovation in our workshop.
