A glass pendant produced in the 1970s by the national glass factory Osvětlovací sklo in Valašské Meziříčí. The glassworks in Valašské Meziříčí belonged to a company S. Reich & Co, once the largest producer of illuminating glass in Austria-Hungary. The Chinese lantern lampshade is made of white satinated triplex opal glass providing subtle, diffused light. The pendant is hung on a metal rod made of brass and the light fixture works with one E27 socket lightbulb. It is fully functional and in great original condition, only the rod has a natural patina.
