Detailed information

Product detailed description

The Type 813460 chandelier was produced in the 1970s by Napako based on a design by Josef Hůrka. Napako was founded in 1919 by a group of small private companies in Prague and the name was created by combining the first syllables of the words toolmaker, passers and metal printers. Since the 1940s, the name of designer Josef Hůrka has been inextricably linked with the company, creating designs for its most famous lamps.

The chandelier features a three-arm metal frame and three shades made of frosted milk glass, which create a pleasant, diffused light when illuminated. The shades are topped with black-lacquered metal caps adorned with perforated chrome rings. The central chrome rod is finished with a black-lacquered metal rosette.

The light fixture stylishly draws on the popular "Brussels style," but thanks to the perforated metal rings, it strongly resonates with the Space Age aesthetic of the era, which brought shapes reminiscent of flying saucers and technical details inspired by astronautics into design. It is in very good original condition, fully functional, and lights up with three E27 bulbs.
